SWEET HEARTS TO BREAKFAST
No regular meeting today, just a lot of camaraderie and fun! Thanks to Jon Wachter and Tom Mauro for arranging this social event at Cafe de Paris. A good time was had by all... well, all but Tom and Joie, since Tom came down with the Flu. (Get well soon!)
Forty-eight guests enjoyed the menu, prepared specially for the MSOC, included such delicacies as Crab Cake Benedict, Cafe de France Omelet, Fruit Nut Pancakes, Brown Sugar Oats & Fruit and Stuffed French Toast.

New Members
Two of our newest members: Gary Jerman and Kevin Dempsey were enjoying breakfast with their guests.

Oldy Weds
Craig Eley and his wife Cindy were the moderators for this game, which required that the couples provide the same or similar answers to questions provided by the moderators.
Participating couples were Noel and Karen Hasselgren; Mike and Jan White; Larry and Ashley Pulaski; Andy and Anita Towt; Al and Donagene Gapuzan.
Such questions as: What would be first on your wife's "Honey Do" list?; Where did you go on your first date? What is your wife's mother's maiden name? What is your Husband's favorite junk food? What year did your husband join Monaco South Optimist Club? pretty much demonstrated that, sometimes husbands and wives were not on the same wavelength.
Andy and Anita were the winners, but just barely.
This was an exciting event  event and everyone enjoyed the fun. Thanks to Jon, Craig and Cindy for providing this entertainment!

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
