Fall colors on the Herman Gulch ...
COLORFUL COLORADO
OPENING
Member pictureMember picture
A beautiful Colorado autumn day. Cool, crisp air. Camaraderie! Greg Young provides the invocation, reminding us that, like pebbles in a pond, the ripples from our community activities spread far beyond what we actually touch. Some people we haven't seen for a while: Terry Shroyer, Curt Boell.
Bob Avery returns.  All is right with the World!

CHRISTMAS TREE LOT
Tom Kramis reports that the exact location for the tree lot this year is still up in the air, due to some reconfiguration and occupation of previous location. For various reasons, supply of trees is somewhat limited, but Tom is using every resource at his command to ensure that we will have trees to sell this Christmas

___________________________________________   DRAWING
Last drawing of the year was another yawner, with only one card (6 of spades) to draw from and a mere $20 in the pot. Al Gapuzan was the lucky one as he did, in fact, draw the 6 of spades from the deck of one. Al donated his winnings to Happy Bucks. Be here next week when we crack open a new deck of 52 cards and start over.

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
