A beautiful Colorado autumn day. Cool, crisp air. Camaraderie! Greg Young provides the invocation, reminding us that, like pebbles in a pond, the ripples from our community activities spread far beyond what we actually touch. Some people we haven't seen for a while: Terry Shroyer, Curt Boell.
Bob Avery returns.  All is right with the World!
Steve Kady announces that he has three signed applications (and checks), two of whom are at today's meeting and one who was here last week. (Lt. John Webb of Denver Fire Department.)
Guests today are:
The 3 new members Steve brought in are Ken Jeung (on the left)  Gary Amelon and John Webb.
Ken graduated from George Washington High School, owned the Canton Landing restaurant and is now an insurance agent.
Gary is a retired photojournalist and production director.
John Webb is a retired Denver Fire Department Lieutenant. Loves golf
and other sports.

Be here next week when we crack open a new deck of 52 cards and start over.

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
