BREAKFAST AND GAMBLING DUO - DR. BOB AND NOEL
This morning we were merrily greeted by Craig (here come da judge) Eley and David Guentert, experienced painter and avid new member, was getting to feel the excitement of early morning camaraderie for the first time. Many smiles and handshakes were shared.

There was a plethora of early morning conversations. Tom Mauro, wearing a Yankees jacket over his Rockies jersey truly presented a conflict of interest. John Van Ness busy filling out a new member application, with the proud assistance of his sponsor Chris Dunphy. Uncle Bob Avery bounced in the door, fresh from his sabbatical to the mountains and Santa Fe. Bill Litchfield immediately joined him and commenced to assist with the attendance taking. Greg Holt was intensely occupied at the breakfast buffet trying to manage run away sausages on his plate. Joe Marci, Russ Paul and Greg Young were immersed in laughter while conducting a secret pow-wow. Gary Strowbridge, Mike White and Don Thomson discussing the pros and cons of locating a new car, appeared lost in conversation. An animated Mike McMahon, holding his coffee mug and banana was eagerly telling Andy Towt and Carl Brown about how well Josh Li Puma had administered to his HVAC problem. Dan Rodriguez, wearing his Duluth Trading jacket, was touting the company and recommending everyone give them a try. Jake Baker once again walking briskly with his foot healed and healthy again was happy and full of good cheer.  President Larry arrived with Bill Morgan and immediately turned off the strobe lights that had been blinking all morning (He apologized for forgetting his disco ball). DTC Club-member and District Essay Chair Jeff Gartz(ever the comedian), after being solicited to become a new member, was overheard telling Kent Gloor “Any club who would have me as a member should have their head examined.” It was an exciting and action filled morning.

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
