This is a Zoom opportunity for you to communicate with other Optimists in our District . Zoom meeting will be held every second Tuesday, commencing on November 14. They will be held from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Sign on information will be sent to everyone, as the time approaches. This will provide an opportunity to share activities, fund raising ideas and anything else you may need have on your mind about Optimist. The forum will be led by MaryGrace Wake, currently Governor of the District.
Peter Dimond, who currently resides in New Mexico, will be having heart surgery on November 6. We are optimistic that the surgery will be successful, and Peter will be able to continue with the activities he enjoys so much.
  • Talk to yourself. There are times you need expert advice.
  • "In Style" are the clothes that still fit.
  • You don" need anger management. You need people to stop making you mad.
  • The biggest lie you tell yourself is, "I don't need to write that down. I'll remember it.
  • "On time" is when you get there.
  • Even duct tape can't fix stupid- but it sure does muffle the sound.
  • Lately, you've noticed people your age are so much older than you.
  • Growing old should have taken longer.
  • And one more: "One for the road" means going to the bathroom before you leave the house

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
