GUESTS
We had two guests today:
Left Gary Jerman is an oil proper/mineral evaluator/lease negotiator, who recently moved back to Southeast Denver, after a ten-year hiatus. He bought a Christmas tree and talked to George Buzick who gave him a "breakfast card". He decided to come to breakfast, liked what he saw and has signed an application. Welcome Gary!
Right Casey Barrett was introduced by Frank Middleton and is in the process of forming a new Cub Scout pack, which will be sponsored by MSOC. We look forward to working with Casey in developing the pack.
Kent Gloor thanked those who had worked at the Scottish Festival in support of the University Hills Optimist Club this past summer. Kent also received a $400 check, thanking us for our support.
TREE LOT
President Casey announced that the tree lot was a resounding success this year, with the guidance of Tom (The Tree Guy) Kramis and Greg (Always at the Tree Lot) Holt. This note from Tom Kramis: What a remarkable season for selling trees! Things couldn’t have gone better as far as tree and wreath sales go. We had two wreaths leftover and practically sold out of trees by yesterday afternoon. See pic of one of last trees sold to Athena, a Super Citizen, from McMeen, her little Sis, Sedona, and Grandpa, Dan Lynch.
As of 8:30am, all of the trees were gone from lot, even the five short and chubby ones that we left out last night. The assets and liabilities 😉 are back in storage and the tree lot has been broom cleaned. The only thing left is a lonely dumpster.
Congratulations to all of you for a job well done!

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
