Run Out Of Time ⚡️
On this beautiful, last Friday of August we were greeted by (you guessed it!) Al Gapuzan and his pal Jack Kleinheksel. The invocation came from Don Thomson, who advised us to "Talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet."

ChrisMember picture Dunphy announced that current arrangements for breakfast are in a state of flux and that only coffee will be available until other arrangements can be made. The previous breakfast service was a part of a training program, which no longer exists. We will be examining other alternatives. Editors Note: Tom Hoch tried to alleviate the situation to some extent by providing day old King Soopers Donuts.
Robert Wardlaw thanked those who have been working with the Super Citizen Program and said that we still needed reps for Holm and Ellis Elementary Schools and could use some more photographers. Don Thompson, long time supporter of this program suggested that members visit a Super Citizen Program to get a feel for what goes on, then they can commit to assisting with this program.  Don also commented on Joe Marci's support of this program for many years.
Jon Wachter thanked those who had helped with the South By Southeast event, including Tom Glazier, Allen Malask, Pat Bush, Mark Metevia and Joe Marci. Jon also mentioned that the University Hills Club has disbanded and that they sponsored a Cub Scout Pack which we might want to think about.  Jon also mentioned the upcoming Colorado/Wyoming District Annual Convention, which will be held in Cheyenne August 27-29 and which will be attended by several members of the Monaco South Optimist Club.

We have a drawing! $30 is riding on the three of diamonds with only 5 cards left.  What are the odds that nobody can come up with the right card with only 5 cards left?  Apparently pretty good. The pot will be $40 next week, since none of those whose number (or name was drawn was successful. You can't win unless you play!

T H E O P T I M I S T C R E E D — Promise Yourself . . . To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for
anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
